Fort Rotterdam, A Place where MCN "Nostalgia" Held

The city landmark of Makassar, one of the historical buildings in South Sulawesi, has chosen as the place where MCN takes place.

On March 11-12 2023, Makassar Tourism Office conducted a festival called MCN. Makassar Culinary Night or shortened to MCN, is the biggest annual culinary event in Makassar which has been held since 2015 as part of the city's birthday celebration events. The title of this year MCN is "Nostalgia". The same as the previous year, Fort Rotterdam was chosen as the place for this event to be held.

"I hope that this culinary event not only contributes to the economic growth, but also contribute to the growth of Makassar's tourism sector,"  said the head of Makassar Tourism Office, Mohammad Roem, in an interview with makassar.terkini.id. 

The choice of Fort Rotterdam as the venue of MNC is one of the efforts of the local tourism office in increasing the tourism spots sector in Makassar. Besides contributing to the increase of economic sector for the small and medium enterprise actors, this event also gives contribution to the tourism sector in Makassar. People will become more aware of the beauty and splendor of Fort Rotterdam as one of the historical buildings which has become the city landmark of Makassar.
